    Listened to "Dawn of the Assassin" during a road trip, it proved be an action packed drive. The story follows the Assassin David Diegert through his ordered kills and romantic conquests. Brewer's novel translates to a fast paced audio book with Diegert moving from country to country dispensing with the bad guys, Brewer writes in great. Assassins are made, not born. And yet despite countless novels dedicated to professional killers, true origin stories are rare. The Assassin and the Pirate Lord-4/5 stars Celaena and Sam take down a pirate lord, and we get a glimpse of how Celaena received her reputation as one of the most notorious assassins in the kingdom.
